About WNMD Church Planting

WNMD Church Multiplication is a resource center for the WI/N Mich District Council of the Assemblies of God and their efforts in church planting throughout Wisconsin and Northern Michigan. We aim to elevate our ability to plant healthy, vibrant Assemblies of God churches throughout the state and to accelerate the rate at which we multiply our churches.

We believe that everything should produce after its own kind, and while the District Office can provide significant resources to our pastors, church planting is most successful when it is done by the local church.

Therefore, in order for a potential church planter to establish a new faith community in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, they must obtain a Parent Church to help them with their journey. We believe this relationship is instrumental in producing a more viable church.

PLANT A CHURCH

Statistics show us that the fastest growing segment of church in America are in new churches. If we are looking to make an impact for the kingdom of God in Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, we need to plant healthy churches throughout the Network.

Why should I plant a church?

Church planting is an incredible journey. It can be a difficult road, but it is very rewarding as God uses you to change the lives of people who might not have heard the Gospel. You can be a part of God's plan to reach a community for His glory and His purposes.

How do I plant a church in Wisconsin or Upper Michigan?

We believe that church plants come in many shapes, sizes and varieties. There is no preferred method or style. We believe that when God calls you to plant a church, He will give you vision. Our role is to support you by providing resources that will help you succeed on your church planting journey. We have developed Steps to Plant a Church to help ensure that healthy churches are planted.

Steps to Church Planting

Complete the church planter application.
Personal contact from Jimmy McDonald, CPD (Church Planting Director)
Approval from the church planting board.
MOU with parent church and monthly coaching strategy.
Make contacts with the sectional and executive presbyters and lead Pastors close to where you are planting.
Training-CMN Launch- WI Church Planting Retreat.
Create a fundraising strategy and budget.
Raise funds and build a core team.
Develop a pre-launch strategy.
Complete the necessary paperwork for the government, Wisconsin/Michigan District, and A.G. General Council
